The Home of Your Own Program (HOYOP) is a pilot partnership
started by St. Vincent de Paul, and including NEDCO, Adair Homes,
and the USDA. Qualifying families have an opportunity to participate
in the building of their own home (similar to a "sweat
equity" program) in a new development in Lowell, Oregon.
NEDCO is providing the required homebuyer education and counseling.
Anyone interested in participating in the program, either this
year or in the next two years, should plan to begin attending
the classes. If you have not yet attended an information
session, call us to find out if you might qualify for HOYOP!
The HOYOP program includes two education components: group
classes and individualized counseling.
Classes run for 8 weeks and are held from 6:00 - 8:00 at the NEDCO office. Attendance is mandatory at all classes to receive a certificate of completion.
